Subdivisions’ section settings
Every map downloaded from this site has a real intuitive settings’ page within your WordPress dashboard. You get three tabs and three sections:
- Main settings
- Subdivisions
- Markers
In case you need to customize single subdivisions of the map, this is the guide for you.
You will discover how apply actions ( add a link, show label content over the map, toggle elements of your page ), change colors, apply the hover over color set in main settings, export and import subdivisions’ settings.
Actions when clicking on sudbivisions
You can decide what action will be performed when user clicks on a subdivision. Actually you can open a link, display label content over the map itself or toggle elements inside your page.
This action opens a link when user clicks on one of the subdivisions. Select the Open link action from the select menu ( default setting ) and fill the Link field next to it with the link you want the user opens when clicking on the subdivision.

Export and import settings
In case you need to backup all subdivisions settings, just go to the bottom of the Subdivisions’ settings section and click on “Export settings“: this will create and let you download a cvs file with all settings.
You can then use that exported file to: create an identical new instance of the same map in other posts/pages or domains or just for backup purposes.
Once you’ve exported your settings, you can then import into any other map with the same subdivisions ( so even with different projection format ) and have your settings back in just 2 clicks! Just click on “Select Subdivision file” under “Import settings” section, upload the exported settings file ( cvs format ) and then click on the “Import Subdivisions settings” button.
Just wait till the message will advise you the process is completed.
See below example: we have exported settings from an Albers projection-like USA map ( same in home page ) and imported into a Mercator projection-like USA map. All settings will be imported: colors, action etc…
And here the result:
